Is Working Out 30 Minutes a Day Enough to See Results?

"Can I see results working out 30 minutes a day?”

I get this question all the time and I used to wonder the same thing!

The answer to that question is a HELL YES! Crazy right? Only working out 30 minutes a day is enough to lose weight, tone muscle, feel confident, and look amazing!

At first, I just didn't think it was possible. Everybody said…”If you want to be in good shape, you gotta put those hours in at the gym!” So that’s what I did.

I’d be there for hours and even multiple times a day sometimes because I thought it was the only way I was going to reach my goals.

It’s just NOT TRUE!

You don’t need to be working out for hours a day (you shouldn’t even if you have the time) and it doesn’t necessarily have to be done at the gym either. If that’s what you prefer, then go for it but home workouts can be just as effective if you have the right structure. 

This was the point where real life (aka adulting) hit me pretty hard and my schedule filled up with wedding planning, running a business, teaching fitness and yoga classes, building a house, having a social life and spending time with family. It wasn’t possible for me to spend 2 hours at the gym anymore!

To be honest, I was scared I was going to lose the progress that I had worked so hard for. I spent so many hours trying to burn that fat away and build that muscle so I didn’t want that to all fade away…especially right before my wedding which was fast approaching!

I got creative with everything I learned through my certifications and created some bad ass workouts that I could do without ever leaving the house. This is when I fell in love with working out all over again!

My workout schedule turned into 30 minute workouts 5 days week, and let me tell you…I felt and looked the best I ever have at my wedding because of this!

You want to know why this made such a difference?

CONSISTENCY!!!

These workouts were quick, effective, planned out, and they seriously kicked my butt! There was no skipping the gym workout because I was too busy that day. Or just rushing and going through the motions just to say I worked out. And there was no lollygagging around the gym and talking to all my gym friends instead of getting the work in.

Of course, the exact workouts that I did may not be what’s best for you. But this is what I know.

Once I build a workout plan for my clients that they are comfortable with and enjoy, I guarantee they will be successful if they do 3 things…

  • Dedicate 30 minutes 4-5 days a week to workouts
  • SHOW UP like it’s your job
  • Give 100% effort

That’s it and that’s all my friend!
