 Who Doesn't Love Comfort Food, Right!?

If you're anything like me, you just need some good comfort food sometimes! Especially when the weather starts getting a little colder and the holiday season is getting closer.
Halushki is something I used to love but it's usually packed with dairy and gluten which caused MAJOR bloating and constipation for me!
But the good news is, the ingredients in this delicious comfort food recipe are easily substituted for healthier versions! So now you have a tasty healthy comfort food recipe that you don't have to feel guilty about eating. And there's no belly bloat to go with this one!
So let's get right to this! This healthy halushki recipe takes just about 15 minutes to make and you can make a HUGE batch of it for your family, a big party, or for meal prepping healthy lunches for the week.

  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 heads of cabbage
  • 1/2 a package of Miyokos vegan butter
  • 1 box of chick pea pasta
  • sea salt (optional)


  • Chop up cabbage and onion.
  • Cook chick pea pasta following instructions on box.
  • While pasta is cooking...cook butter, cabbage, and onion in large pot on medium heat.
  • Cook cabbage down but keep a little bit of it's crunch.
  • When pasta is done, add it to large pot and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add a little salt and enjoy!
