All the holiday feasts and tasty treats are addictive and seem to just take control of us! One here, one there, another one when you get up to pee, a couple more while you relax and watch a movie. Next thing you know, you're covered in cookie crumbs screaming..."I CAN'T STOP EATING!!!" I've been there girl!

Once we start this routine, it's VERY hard to break and it just becomes a normal holiday tradition.

Then the excuse is always..."Well it's the holidays, that's what people do. I'll stop binge eating and start being healthy in January."

I had that mindset for so many years. And guess what, I felt like complete shit during the holidays, I wasn't fully present with my loves ones, and literally thought about food the entire time. I so badly wanted to find food freedom but instead of felt controlled by food for a full 2 months!

Are you with me?

This 2 months of abuse to your body not only holds you back from reaching your physical goals but also has a negative effect on your health.

Let me explain...

Restrictive Diets Aren't a Long Term Healthy Solution!

I used to be a huge fan of the "I'll get healthy in January" mindset. But the problem was that every January I had to start over and I wasn't set up for a success in my health and fitness journey.

Instead, I had to reverse the damage I did to my body, gut, skin, and hormones binge eating on pounds of sugar, dairy, and gluten, that it took me way longer to reach my goals.

And since I was so sick of how I looked and felt, I would start some insane restrictive diet that did even more damage to my body and was totally unsustainable!

It's a vicious cycle...

Even if you do see some temporary results from whatever crazy diet you're on, it's not going to last because you can't live the rest of your life not eating carbs or only drinking weight loss shakes.

Slowly but surely you start to slip and fall back into your old habits. Maybe you eat healthy for a few days during the week then binge eat until you can't move on the weekends.

This goes on for months until November comes around again and it's a free for all!

What if You Could Feel Amazing  and Eat Healthy Even During the Holidays!

What if you could put an end to that yearly cycle of restrictive diets and binge eating?

What if you actually felt good and had energy during the holidays?

What if you didn't have to deal with the constipation and bloating?

I always dreamed of a life where I knew how to JUST BE HEALTHY all year around. Where the holidays didn't completely set me back and I could find food freedom. Where I didn't have anxiety around the holidays because I knew I would gain fat and feel like like poop.

So I finally found something that worked for me. And it wasn't just another fad diet, it was a change in my mindset!

I learned how to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle ALL THE TIME instead of the crazy cycle of restricting, binge eating, and having anxiety around food, and you can do the same.

I want you to start with these 4 tips to avoid binge eating this holiday season and continue to implement them into your daily routine even after the holidays are over! You'll be well on your way to a balanced healthy lifestyle that you can enjoy every day of the year which is exactly what I teach in my Holistic Body & Life Transformation Coaching Application.

4 Simple Hacks to Avoid Binge Eating During the Holidays

1. Journal About Your Goals and Reason WHY!

This may seem weird, but trust me. This mindset practice is a game changer! This will build the most important foundation you need to stick to a healthy lifestyle consistently and love it!

Journal the vision you have for your health...
  • More energy
  • Glowing skin
  • No bloat or stomach cramps
  • Weight loss
  • Feeling comfortable and confident in your clothes
  • Just learning how to be healthier
What does your perfect health look like?

When you know what you want health wise and you write it down and look at it everyday, it will keep you motivated to make those healthy decisions.

2. Replace the Soda and Sugary Drinks With Holiday Infused Water!

A great festive infused water is pomegranate, mint, and lime! Add 1 squeezed lime, 5 mint leaves, and a 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds into a large container of water. Let it sit over night and is perfect to drink in the morning!

When you realize how beneficial a lot of these ingredients are, it makes you want to drink even more of them.
  • Pomegranates are great for boosting immunity and improving digestion.
  • Mint leaves help with weight loss, acne, and digestion.
  • Lime also boosts immunity and aids in digestion.
This is the perfect concoction for winter because of its immune boosting properties. Also great that it aids in digestion since during the holiday season you will be eating a Christmas cookie or too. It's all about balance and being proactive about your health!

3. Make Healthy Swaps for Sugar Instead of Cutting it Out!

The holidays are full of desserts, there's no doubt about that. But what if we could make these desserts healthier? This will be the biggest hack for transitioning into a healthy lifestyle.

I was a sugar junkie, literally addicted. So I wasn't going to give it up! I just needed to find healthier options for it.

So when making holiday treats, use these natural sugars instead of refined sugars, white sugar, or fake sugar! You can find some tasty and healthy dessert recipes over on the Recipes page!
  • Date sugar
  • Maple Syrup
  • Raw honey
  • Coconut sugar
  • Organic stevia

4. Get Tons of Nutrients with Smoothies to Help Digestion!

Smoothies are my absolute favorite way to blast my body with loads of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. I throw in tons of fruits like...
  • Strawberries
  • Bananas
  • Wild blueberries
  • Pineapple
Veggies like...
  • Spinach
  • Kale
Superfood powders like...
  • Spirulina
  • Chaga mushroom powder
  • Maca root powder
Super easy to blend all together and drink for all the incredible benefits! Even on holidays I make sure this is my first meal to make sure I get tons of nutrients that my body is going to love and help my body digest the food I will eat for the rest of the day!

Like I mentioned before, these are great hacks to start with if you're trying to avoid binge eating through the holidays and every other day of the year! These all play a crucial role in the success my clients who have been able to be consistent with maintaining their results!
